Knitting Patterns

I have a growing collection of knitting patterns available on Ravelry with many more in various stages of development.  They range from a glint in my eye or a niggle in my mind right through to patterns that are being test knitted before release.

As at January 2015, my first blanket pattern is in testing - Miranda and Tom.  The blanket is helpfully being modelled here by my fluffy white bear.  I plan to release the pattern in February 2015.

Textured lace is my passion and I am exploring ways to create patterns for knits with depth and interest - both during and after creation.  I love designing shawls as they are a wonderful canvas for lace.  There is the occasional venture into the world of the scarf, the cowl, and now the blanket.

My shawls are designed to be wearable - and I wear all of them myself, to work and out to play.  I focus on making pieces that can add a bit of spark or a bit of drama to an outfit, while managing also to be practical.  I don't like having to fuss and fiddle with my shawls and so most of my designs have shaped top edges, to help them stay on your shoulders.  Practical and amusing - that's my goal.
